We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a specialist vehicle solutions company based in Dartford, who are seeking an experienced Auto Engineer with a strong background in HGV and lorry electronics.

This is not a traditional mechanical role. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing and repairing electronic and software systems installed in heavy goods vehicles.

The Role

• Diagnosing electrical and electronic faults on HGVs and lorries
• Servicing and maintaining onboard electronic systems
• Working with vehicle control modules and software systems
• Fault finding using diagnostic equipment
• Repairing wiring systems and electrical components
• Supporting installation and configuration of electronic vehicle systems

About You

• Experience working with HGVs, lorries or commercial vehicles
• Strong background in vehicle electronics and diagnostics
• Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and technical schematics
• Comfortable working with software-based vehicle systems
• Auto electrical qualifications or relevant technical training desirable
• Full UK driving licence
